Kreiger Scientific recently became a GKS user. The following is a case study example of their use.
Krieger Scientific is well on its journey along the AI maturity pipeline, already beyond the Ai for management phase, using tools for scheduling, planning, and documenting with images and transcripts. They were interested in operationalizing the data layer.
Asking what they can actually do with everything they are collecting across facilities and clients. That is where KeyPedia comes in, and watching how they have put it to work has been instructive for us as well.
A couple of examples Krieger is already using.
Facility Reports
This use case consisted of using GKS data to supplement facility-related projects.
Old process: go to the facility, work with equipment and process engineers, write summary reports, then supplement critical discussions with quality teams and pull FDA data manually when it was really needed.
New process: record audio logs, dictate in plain, objective terms, let AI notetakers summarize action items and draft the reports. KeyPedia surfaces and backs up FDA facts automatically based on the topics pulled in.
Benefit received: We also used the KeyPedia platform prior to visiting facilities to record the top predicted observations and current compliance view; this assisted in additional checks and questions we could ask.
Staying Current
Old process: a hard time staying up to date across ISPE, PDA, FDA, EMA, ANVISA, and others, then cross-referencing owned documents against the client’s.
New process: KeyPedia holds the documents and the points in time when they changed.
Benefit Received: We now receive a weekly intelligence briefing on all the guidance, updates, and standards we care about most.
Direct CQV Work, in Three Steps
First, they started on KeyPedia Lite. Once they saw the data, they wanted the full knowledge graphs and ontologies. Second, they logged in to the platform and saved searches for every document type, record type, and keyword that mattered to them. Third, they review updates by email.
How They Are Getting Long-Term Value
KeyPedia has enabled the Krieger team to stop hunting for FDA facts and instead offer the data as part of their service, reports, and client conversations. What started as a training tool for junior staff (a value proposition they were eager to test) grew into something bigger: real, defensible facts about the trends they track.
They connected to the KRA data APIs and pulled that data into their data lake for the facilities they work with. Now every facility and supplier carries a KeyPedia Risk Analysis score that they can share with clients.
Another use they keep coming back to: onboarding new team members. When someone asks where to find a specification, a standard, or other source material, they send them to KeyPedia.
Quantifying the Benefit
SaaS can be a difficult buy for a service-based company. The cost may be low, but if it does not feed revenue-generating work, it does not earn its place. Here is how KeyPedia phases into Krieger’s operations.
On the sales side, when their team can bring reports into early client meetings, site data, facility history, and past global observations, they see stronger engagement and have something real to share on follow-up. The number they track is the close and follow-up rate for correspondence with a KeyPedia report attached.
On the service side, they do not resell the data or KeyPedia products. They use them to raise the value of their own services.
They estimate it saves roughly 0.25 FTE, but the bigger win is internal: it raises the level of expertise across the team and gives a meaningful lift to the people who need it most.
The Bottom Line
Krieger still does the consulting. The audits and the conversations in the room are still theirs. KeyPedia just makes the facts behind that work faster to reach and easier to defend.
